The Believer’s Cycle

Temptation:
It is everywhere.
I am unable to get away.

“Sin-sation”:
It fills the earth.
I am trapped in its evil play.

Exasperation:
It is every soul.
I am crippled by its hatefulness.

Desperation:
It breaks the strongest man.
I am rendered completely useless.

◊◊◊◊

Crucifixion:
It was the Sacrifice.
I am bought with blood, an unconditional love.

Salvation:
It is for everyone.
I am no longer captive; I soar like a dove.

Redemption:
It is promised.
I am forgiven; I need not flee.

Restoration:
It is given.
I am new; I am free.

◊◊◊◊

Temptation:
It is here again.
I am tested, but faith keeps me right.

“Sin-sation”:
It rules mankind.
I am its target and I’ll put up a fight!

Tribulation:
It is coming;
I am frightened, but the end is nigh.

Revelation:
It is the judgment;
I am innocent by grace from the King Most High.

◊◊◊◊

Stipulation:
It is decided.
I am fought over; God wins the bout.

Reconciliation:
It is together again.
I am accepted, not put out.

Jubilation:
It is infectious.
I am filled with praise over the Lord’s magnificence.

Adulation:
It is worship:
I am in a state of pure and utter reverence.

◊◊◊◊

Temptation:
It is defeated!
I am a hyper-nikao in Christ.

“Sin-sation”:
It is no more.
I am blessed; gone is the antagonist!

Thanks, just right

Okay so this one is a little late as well. But it is a thank you to everyone who helped make Saturday, April 28, so special.

To the chefs:
Thanks so much, for last Saturday night.
With every dish prepared just right,
The food was quite delicious.
Though I must admit, the grocery list was a bit suspicious. 😉

To his parents:
Thanks so much, for last Saturday night.
The son you’ve raised just right,
Made me me feel like a precious diamond ring,
And treated me as if I were the daughter of a king.

To my date:
I say thanks so much, for last Saturday night.
But to convey my graditude, I hope these words fit just right.
And though your aunt hopes to someday see a marriage,
The evening was nothing short of a fairytale but for a horse and carriage. 🙂

To Yenta:
Thanks so much, for last Saturday night.
For pictures and dinner, your house was just right.
Concerning the food, the chefs were great.
And as for your nephew, I couldn’t have asked for a better date!

Prom, please?

Okay, so prom was actually 4/28/2012 and I am a little late in uploading this poem (I had intended to have it up before then). But the last few weeks have been a bit hectic, preparing for the dance and my upcoming high school graduation (which is in less than a month now). But anyway, back to the poem. I don’t believe the girl should ever ask the guy out or to prom or anything like that, but my situatuion is a bit, well different, I guess you could say. and in this situation, the guy could not exactly ask me unless someone… gave him permission,…sorta. So I wrote this to him, telling him it was okay to ask me. 🙂 ….

The reservations are made, the tickets are bought.
Dresses are purchased, ties are matched.
Can you believe it?
It’s almost here!

Nails are painted, shoes are polished.
Accessories are found, and tuxes are rented.
I can’t believe it;
It’s almost here!

The roses are ordered, every size and every color.
The dates are asked, some rejected and some accepted.
But what of me?
I can’t go alone…
….
What about you?
I know you’ll probably be busy studying and all, so I’ll understand if the answer’s no.
But it doesn’t hurt to ask…
So here goes nothin’…
Will you ask me?
Will you ask me to prom, please?
